Details:
Tricalcium phosphate is a calcium–phosphorus mineral used as a functional additive, filler, and controlled-release phosphate source in many commercial formulations and manufactured products.
Applications:
- Paints & industrial coatings – white inert filler and pigment extender to adjust viscosity, gloss, and hiding power in decorative and protective coatings.
- Fertilizer manufacturing – solid phosphorus and calcium source for granular fertilizers, blends, and soil amendment products.
- Animal feed – standardized, bioavailable source of calcium and phosphorus for compound feed, premixes, and mineral supplements.
- Ceramics & refractories – ceramic raw material that supports high-temperature stability, mechanical strength, and sintering behavior.
- Plastics & polymers – inorganic filler that improves stiffness, dimensional stability, and processing consistency in molded parts and films.
- Construction materials – additive in specialty cements, grouts, and mortars to tune setting time, strength development, and durability.
- Water treatment & industrial processes – phosphate source and buffering component in selected process chemicals and treatment formulations.
- Paper & pulp – mineral filler to adjust opacity, brightness, surface smoothness, and print quality of paper grades.
